Tracked excavators from 20 to 50 tonnes are the workhorses of UAE earthworks: bulk excavation, trench and foundation digging, rock breaking with a jack hammer, and loading tippers on infrastructure, oil and gas and building sites. Owners on MachineStand list the exact machine — make, model, year, operating weight and the buckets and attachments that come with it — with the monthly rate up front, with or without operator.
Every excavator here belongs to a UAE-licensed owner and its availability is confirmed with the owner through the week, so what you see is genuinely for hire rather than an old advert. Filter for the site clearances you need, compare monthly and daily rates, then WhatsApp the owner directly.
Questions contractors ask
Which excavator size do I need?
For utilities trenching and small building plots a 20-tonne class (CAT 320, Komatsu PC210, Hyundai R210) is the usual choice. Bulk earthworks and rock cuts move to the 30-tonne class (CAT 330, PC300) and above. Tell the owner the bucket size and whether you need a jack hammer or a rock bucket — most listings show the attachments available.
Do I need a CICPA or CNIA pass for the machine and operator?
On ADNOC, port, border and other critical-infrastructure sites the machine needs an approval and the operator needs a CICPA (CNIA) security pass. Each listing on MachineStand shows the clearances the owner holds — ADNOC approved, CICPA/CNIA cleared, third-party inspected (TPI), ENEC/Barakah — so you can filter for the site you are working on before you call.
How is mobilisation to site charged?
Machines move by lowbed trailer. Most owners charge a flat mobilisation fee per trip from their yard, typically in Mussafah or the Al Ain Road yards for Abu Dhabi; some include transport in the monthly rate, and the listing says which. Free loading time is usually two hours, with demurrage per hour after that if the lowbed is kept waiting or turned away at the gate.
What does a standard shift include?
The UAE standard is a 10-hour day, 6 days a week, which is 260 hours a month. Hours beyond that are billed as overtime at the rate quoted by the owner. Rates on MachineStand are shown per month with operator and, where the owner offers it, without operator; some machines also carry a daily rate.
Who provides the operator's accommodation and transport?
It is agreed between you and the owner and written into the quotation. The common options are: the hirer provides camp accommodation, food and site transport; the hirer provides daily pick-up and drop-off from the owner's camp; or the owner manages lodging and commute for a fixed monthly surcharge, or with no surcharge.
Does MachineStand charge a commission?
No. Browsing is free for contractors and listing is free for owners. When a machine fits, you WhatsApp or call the owner directly and agree the hire between yourselves; MachineStand is not a party to the contract.
